Diana Belikova

Beli.Kova - a fashion and editorial photography site for Diana Belikova. She came with a rough idea and almost no time to sit in the process. The site had to take the meeting for her.

Goal - make the portfolio the pitch. A client should see the work, the standard, and how a shoot runs, without a PDF and without a call that starts from zero.

I designed and built belikova.site: the homepage, a camera preloader, a 3D gallery, and project pages that read like a job, not a template.

Homepage

The first screen is the practice in one line: Fashion & editorial photography, and a portrait at full height. Explore portfolio is the only move.

Frame lines, a quiet credit, Instagram. Nothing else competes with the picture.

Homepage of belikova.site. FASHION & EDITORIAL PHOTOGRAPHY beside a full-height editorial portrait, with MENU, EXPLORE PORTFOLIO, and INSTAGRAM.

Desktop homepage of belikova.site. Left: PHILOSOPHY, the headline FASHION & EDITORIAL PHOTOGRAPHY, EXPLORE PORTFOLIO. Right: a full-height editorial portrait. MENU at the top right, INSTAGRAM along the bottom, thin frame lines around the page.

Camera preloader

The wait is a camera, not a spinner. A viewfinder sits on a frame that is still out of focus. As the gallery loads, focus pulls through.

REC is on. The readout is a real exposure: 1/125, F2.8, ISO 400. A shutter sound closes it when the site is ready. The first thing a visitor feels is that they are already on a shoot.

Full-screen camera preloader. Dark glass, a photograph behind a viewfinder with corner marks and a crosshair, soft and then sharp. Red REC, a buffer percentage, PROCESSING. Along the bottom: M, 1/125, F2.8, ISO 400, and an exposure meter.

A gallery you can walk

Each project is a print in Three.js, not a card in a grid. A shader bends the plane into an arc: the edges fall back, so the photograph has the depth of a print on a wall. Scroll, and the next print curves in. The room color follows the project. The index stays editorial: PR.01 / 02, then the title.

Opening a project keeps that print and adds the job: project type, involvement, date, tools. Further down, the same curve runs through the series, one frame at a time. A fashion client is hiring an eye. The site lets them stand in front of the work.

What the site returned

The conversion is a booked job, not a click. The site brought 10+ commercial shoots and put one medium business on retainer.

Diana stayed out of the day to day. The work came back sharper than the brief, and the site has been doing the follow-up since.

I came to Vadim with a rough idea and very little time to be involved day to day. What I got back exceeded every expectation. The site looked more polished than I imagined, the whole process was smooth, and I barely had to lift a finger.
